GC CE Courses

In North Carolina, General Contractors are required by the State Licensing Board to complete 8 hours of approved continuing education each year in order to maintain their license.

At NC Contractor Academy, we make meeting this requirement easy. We offer the mandatory 2-hour course to fulfill part of your education requirement, and we also provide a variety of additional courses that cover everything from industry best practices to the latest regulations. 2-hr Mandatory Class

2 Credit Hours

This mandatory 2-hour course is a basic continuing education requirement for all licensed general contractors to maintain licensing.

Construction Law 102

2 Credit Hours

Understand contracts and working with subcontractors.

CLASS TIMES: Construction Law 102 (2-hour) 2PM – 4PM

The CE year begins January 1 and ends on November 30 annually.

Classes will not be offered during the month of December.

Continuing Education Courses

✔ 8 hours of CE must be completed in order to renew a license by at least one qualifier for licensees in the license classifications of Building, Residential and Unclassified.

✔ The 8-hour course requirement includes a mandatory 2-hour course produced by the Board with information about changes in the laws and rules.

✔ The remaining 6 hours will be elective courses produced by outside providers, submitted to and approved by the Board.

The following are the minimum requirements & guidelines for the implementation of synchronous learning:

✔ A computer or other device with camera and microphone capabilities. (student connection via cell phone is not allowed)

✔ Broadband internet access with a strong internet connection capable of maintaining connectivity.

✔ Software requirements (i.e. operating system, browser, etc)
